Markazus Sunnah Foundation believes that the well-being of this world and the hereafter can be attained only by conveying the true form of Islam to people. Every one of our activities therefore rests on the Holy Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Following this principle, we continue our effort to build a disciplined, ethical and welfare-oriented society.

We want to convey the clear teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah in a simple way, alongside service for everyone — educational workshops, health camps and emergency assistance.

Principles & Ideals

Every activity of Markazus Sunnah Foundation is guided by the following 12 core principles. Click any heading to read more.

We take the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah as the highest standard. Rather than blindly following any doctrine, group or individual, we take the way of the righteous early Muslims (Salaf as-Salih) as our example.

In dawah and teaching our policy is moderation. We accept neither extremism, harshness, nor excessive laxity. We convey the teachings of the faith with wisdom, patience and gentleness.

We believe the strength of the Ummah lies in unity. Strengthening mutual compassion, cooperation and the bond of brotherhood is therefore one of our principles. By removing division, envy and discord we strive to make the Muslim community more united.

One of our ideals is promoting good and restraining wrong. By awakening moral values in society and establishing honesty and justice, we seek to build a healthy social environment.

We consider tolerance indispensable in dawah and welfare work. Our principle is therefore not harshness, but taking decisions with prudence and generosity in light of real circumstances.

Markazus Sunnah is not only for Muslims; we wish to work for the welfare of all people regardless of religion, race or tribe. For us, serving humanity is an important means of earning Allah’s pleasure.

We regard every donation, zakat, sadaqah or other asset as a trust given by Allah. Ensuring the proper use of every donation and maintaining complete transparency in fund management is therefore one of our ideals.

From the leadership to every staff member, ensuring honesty, ethics and accountability is our firm commitment. We tolerate no corruption or waste, and manage our work through regular audit and good governance.

We believe quality work is impossible without capable, trained personnel. Markazus Sunnah therefore recruits skilled and dedicated staff and raises their capability through regular training.

The poor, orphans, widows, the helpless and disaster-affected people receive special priority in our welfare work. Standing beside them, we seek not only immediate relief but lasting solutions.

We believe temporary aid brings momentary relief but not lasting change. Our policy is therefore to ensure sustainable development through poverty alleviation, spreading education, healthcare and creating employment opportunities.

We ensure the use of modern technology and efficient management in our dawah and welfare work. Shaping our activities to the demands of the time is one of our principles.

Goals & Approach

Markazus Sunnah Foundation works to spread authentic Islamic knowledge in the light of the Qur’an and the sound Sunnah, and for the welfare of society. Our goal is to deliver simple, accurate dawah on one hand, and to build an enlightened society through education, research and skills development on the other.

Alongside producing capable speakers, teachers and du‘at, we have undertaken initiatives to establish schools, colleges, technical training centres and research centres in line with modern needs. We are determined to bring positive change through youth employment, women’s empowerment, support for needy students, and cultural and creative programmes.
